Historical richness by Laura Brooks Meyer

As successful furniture shop in Cambodia
construction materials informed, despite its contemporary look, the featured bathroom and whole house was rich with history since 1900s of past famous owners.
Designed by Laura Brooks Meyer, the house was still under renovation despite its lavishness.
"The house has a lot of character, but it needed a full remodel," Meyer said. "This included creating an entire master suite, with walk-in his-and-hers closets, and a new bathroom in a room that was formerly a study."
"We chose Carrara marble as a cost-effective option for the bathroom, which is quite expansive and required a lot of stone," stated Meyer. "To keep the look soft, the walls are painted in a matching light blue gray."
"I also added a lip to the edge of the Carrara vanity top to stop water from splashing out," the designer spoke.
"Both the owners went to Harvard and have a particular interest in rowing, and their son now rows," added Meyer of the painting in the toilet room. "The painting helps to open up the small room, like an expansive view. It stops it from being claustrophobic."

View directions by Robert Bayly

Provided by notable furniture in Cambodia
construction materials, designed as the centerpiece of the house, the featured kitchen has a seamless and clean-lined appearance from every points of view.
"Essentially, the kitchen is on general display, being visible from the living and dining areas, and from the beach outside," said Bayly. "As a result, the design has a definite furniture-like quality. To further disguise the functionality of the space, we used an inverted U shape, seen on the rear perimeter cabinetry housing the refrigerator, on the central island and on the element holding the coffee maker."
"With so many people passing by and glancing into the home, it made sense to consider the impression from outside," added Bayly. "But we designed some elements to be appreciated from within the kitchen too, such as the oversized butler's sink and a purified water dispenser – both items are unusual and playful."

IBM to Splash out $1.5 Billion for Globalfoundries in Bid to Take Chip Operations
( digital marketing agency, restartbox.com)- IBM Corp has confirmed it will pay chipmaker Globalfoundries $1.5 billion to take the chip operations off this California-based company’s hands as IBM switches sights on focusing on cloud computing and data analytics.
The fee will be paid in cash over the next three years and the move is backed by FBR Capital Markets analyst Daniel Ives, who has seen weak sales in IBM’s software and services businesses.
“They need to narrow their focus, get their A-game on, and any distractions from a core business perspective, such as this deal, need to be put in the rear-view mirror,” said analyst Daniel Ives.
"From an IBM and investor perspective, it takes one troubled area out of the core franchise."
